AUSTIN, Texas — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) revealed its latest NCAA Division II Men's Basketball National Rankings, listing St. Edward's (14-2, 3-2) No. 17 after the Hilltoppers split last week's conference games.
The Hilltoppers dropped a home game against No. 6 Lubbock Christian before bouncing back with a blowout victory over Midwestern State.
St. Edward's ranks 10th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.55) and three-point percentage defense (27.1 percent), and 19th in field goal percentage defense (39.1 percent) and scoring margin (15.1), leading the conference in all four.
The Hilltoppers will travel this week for a pair of games against nationally-ranked conference opponents, facing No. 20 West Texas A&M on Thursday, then No. 19 Eastern New Mexico on Saturday.
