Junior (2014): Started 40 games for the Hilltoppers while making 53 appearances…finished the year with a .254 batting average…tallied 31 hits for the season four of which went for doubles, one for a triple, and another for a home run…tacked on 11 runs batted in while scoring 11 times herself…finished the season with 97 putouts and an impressive .992 fielding percentage for the year.
Sophomore (2013): Played in 31 games, while starting in 23 for St. Edward’s…had 69 at bats and registered 16 hits for a batting average of .232…three of her hits accounted for a double, triple, and a homerun…scored nine runs and brought in six…her home run was blasted against conference opponent Newman (04/04)…tallied three hits and scored a run against Division I opponent Incarnate Word (03/06).
Freshman (2012): Saw action in 21 games while starting 10 for the Hilltoppers during her first season…finished the season with a .133 batting average and a .167 slugging percentage…she recorded four hits and a double while bringing in three runs.
Prep: Played her high school softball at Lampasas High School…her freshman season she had a batting average of .460 while bringing in 26 runs and hitting two homeruns…that season she earned academic all district as well as second-team all-district…was named the offensive MVP for her team…her batting average went up to .500 during her sophomore season…she did not strike out during district play…once again was an academic all-district award winner…repeated as the team’s MVP and earned first-team all-district honors…her junior season she had 25 RBI’s with two homeruns and six doubles…she was batting .473 for the year…she was named to the academic all-district award and all-district team for the third straight season…she also earned a spot on the all-area first-team…helped lead team to district title her freshman through junior seasons and the team made the playoffs all fur years…member of the National Honor Society and the LTP Spirit Club.
Personal: Marisa Renee Bogart was born on June 29, 1993…daughter of Mike and Maria of Lampasas, Texas…has one sibling: Heather (25)…currently studying finance with career hopes of becoming a certified public accountant…enjoys building things, painting, and hunting…her biggest athletic thrill is hitting homeruns and feeling like her team is her family.
