2017 (FRESHMAN):
• Went 1-1 in 10 appearances out of the bullpen for the Hilltoppers.
• Held a 3.55 ERA with six strikeouts in 12.2 innings of work.
• Made first-career appearance with 2.0 innings of work with two strikeouts against Northeastern State.
• Best outing was 3.0 innings-pitched with no runs on one hit and a strikeout against Rogers State.
 
PREP: A four-year letterwinner for head coach Matthew Grissom at Leander High School…named first-team all-district and academic all-district his junior and senior seasons…went 5-2 with a 0.89 ERA and 57 strikeouts his senior season…member of the National Honor Society and was president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

PERSONAL: Joel Stephen Miller was born Oct. 16, 1997…son of Michael and Claudia Miller…has one sibling: Sarah…plans to major in business marketing at St. Edward’s…enjoys fishing, hunting, reading, and watching football and baseball…shutting out Dripping Springs to force a playoff game.
