2017 (JUNIOR):
• Appeared in 24 games around the infield with two starts for the Hilltoppers.
• Batted .286 with five runs on four hits and three walks.
• Went 1-for-1 with two runs against Missouri S&T.
 
2016 TEMPLE JC (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 32 games for head coach Craig McMurtry at Temple College…hit .263 with 16 RBI and 21 runs scored.
 
2015 TEMPLE JC (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 35 games for head coach Craig McMurtry at Temple College…tallied a .352 batting average with seven RBI and 20 runs scored.
 
PREP: A three-year letterwinner for head coach Jeremy Trojacek at Cedar Ridge High School…named second-team all-district his junior and senior seasons…named academic all-state twice and academic all-district three times…posted a career .405 batting average with 13 stolen bases…helped lead team to playoffs all three seasons…member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Derek Nicholas Ramos was born Sept. 5, 1995… son of Sammy and Antoniette Ramos…has two siblings: Jenica and Sammy Jr…plans to major in kinesiology and biology at St. Edward’s…enjoys playing the guitar and singing…biggest athletic thrills are being able to play at the collegiate level and also being able to teach kids the game he loves.
