2016 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Made 11 appearances out of the bullpen…registered 1.46 ERA in 12.1 innings of work…produced a 2-0 record with four saves…struck out 14 batters and opposing batters only hit .122 against him…pitched a season-high 3.1 innings of work, tallying five strikeouts to pick up the win against Colorado Mines (2/7)…struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning to clinch the Heartland Conference Tournament title against Oklahoma Christian (5/14).
 
2015 SAM HOUSTON STATE (JUNIOR): Appeared in relief four times in his junior season…struck out five hitters in 4.1 innings…saw action against Wichita State, Purdue, and Louisiana-Monroe early in the season.
 
2014 ALVIN CC (SOPHOMORE): Made five appearances and finished with a 1.64 ERA in 11 innings…struck out 14 batters, and picked up one save.
 
2013 SAM HOUSTON STATE (FRESHMAN): Pitched in 13 games for the Bearkats…finished with a 6.92 ERA in 13 innings with 12 strikeouts.
 
PREP: Played four years at Atascocita High School under Eric Matthews…named All-Greater Houston and All-District outfielder…led team to a district championship…hit .360 with 28 RBI, and produced a 3.08 ERA while going 6-2 on the mound as a junior…played club for Houston Kyle Chapman…also ran track in high school.
 
PERSONAL: Twin brother Romeo played with Juan at Sam Houston State and St. Edward’s (2016-17)…majoring in kinesiology.
