• 2-TIME HEARTLAND CONFERENCE COMMISSIONER’S HONOR ROLL RECIPIENT
• 4-TIME ST. EDWARD’S DEAN’S LIST HONOREEE
 
2017 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE):
• Made three appearances on the mound for the Hilltoppers.
• Recorded a 13.50 ERA with two strikeouts in two innings-pitched.
• Faced 11 batters and gave up just one extra-base hit.
• Threw one perfect inning of baseball against Missouri S&T.
 
2016 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN):
• Tossed one scoreless inning in one appearance for SEU.
 
2015 (FRESHMAN):
• Redshirted the season.
 
PREP: Gibbons lettered three seasons for head coach Brian Jones at Dallas Jesuit College Preparatory School…his senior season registered a 0.37 ERA and has thrown two career no-hitters…helped lead Jesuit to four-straight district titles and two bi-district championships…was a member of the National Honor Society and the Principal’s Honor Roll.
 
PERSONAL: Luke Aaron Gibbons was born August 7, 1995…son of Tom and Julie Gibbons…has two siblings: Jake and Audrey … majoring in in business finance at St. Edward’s with career aspirations of becoming a financial advisor…says that playing at Globe Life Park (Texas Rangers) as his biggest athletic thrill.
