Sophomore (2014): Starting pitcher in 26 games with one relief appearance for the Hilltoppers…finished the season with a 14-12 record including 21 complete games…pitched 170.1 while compiling a 3.16 ERA…finished the season with 77 strikeouts to just 34 walks…threw a three-hit shutout against Regis University (2/14)…won her first three games of the season while allowing just three earned runs and striking out 11 batters…fielded her position well as she finished the season with a .958 fielding percentage. 

Freshman (2013): The first year pitcher appeared in 20 games and made 18 starts inside the circle…compiled a record of seven wins and 10 losses…posted a 2.98 ERA and pitched 110.1 innings…struck out 54 batters and walked 29…led the Hilltoppers to a 1-0 victory and her first collegiate shutout over Abilene Christian (03/12)…only allowed four hits during the contest, three of which never left in infield.
 
Prep: Played her high school softball at Sherman High School…made the all-Texomaland team all four seasons…named the team MVP for all four years of her high school career…made the all-district team her freshman and sophomore season…named the district pitcher of the year for her junior and senior seasons…helped her team to win the bi district championship during her junior season and the district championship during her senior season…member of the National Honor Society and the AP Scholars Club…graduated Magna Cum Laude
 
Personal: Katelyn Nicole Klug was born on Jan. 1, 1994…daughter of Kenny and Lauren Klug of Sherman, Texas…has one sibling: Kurt (34)…plans to study psychology with career aspirations of becoming a speech pathologist…enjoys reading, scrapbooking, shopping, and politics…often volunteers at the Scottish Rite Hospital…her biggest athletic thrill was defeating her school rival for the fourth-straight year and winning the district championship all in one game.
