Junior (2012): Started all 21 matches for the Hilltoppers…played in a total of 1,694 minutes…recorded one shot on the year that came against Dallas Baptist (10/1)…was the leader of a defense that earned 12 shutouts and allowed just 0.57 goals per game, which was good enough for sixth in the nation…helped the Hilltoppers allow only 5.5 shots and 2.8 shots on goal per game.
 
Sophomore (2011): Saw action in 16 matches while starting 12…played a total of 779 minutes throughout the season…recorded one point that came on an assist against St. Mary’s (10/27/11)…totaled 29 shots with eight reaching the goal…SOG% of .276.


Freshman (2010): Played in a total of 17 matches for the Hilltoppers…recorded 401 total minutes of play on the year…scored two goals for four points…her back-to-back goals came against TAMU-International (10/16/10) and Newman (10/21/10)…recorded eight total shots with four reaching the goal…SOG% of .500.
 
Club: Played for Peninsula Power…her team won the minor and major Premiership every year.

Prep: Played for Nambour Christian College.

Personal:  Kate Orkild was born on October 2, 1992…daughter of Belinda and Peter Orkild of Mons, Queensland, Australia…has two siblings: Jack (24) and Ken (23)…majoring in kinesiology and pre-physical therapy…her hobbies include surfing, spear fishing, and motorbike riding…her biggest athletic thrill is stopping someone from scoring.
