AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's first baseman Dexter Moreno brought home the Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week award for his performance at the plate in five games during the week of April 5-11. Moreno led the Hilltoppers to a 5-0 week, as they run-ruled Texas A&M - Kingsville and tallied a four-game sweep of UT-Permian Basin. Moreno was 9-for-16 at the plate with a double, four home runs and 13 RBI. He also scored eight runs on the week. His two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth was the game-winner in the final game of the UTPB series. On the season, Moreno is hitting .399. He is tied atop the conference ranks in home runs (10) and leads the conference in RBI (54). Moreno and the Hilltoppers will return to action Friday in Goodwell, Okla. for a four-game series against Panhandle State. The first pitch of game one is scheduled for noon.
