Box Score AUSTIN, Texas - Joe Pirozzolo went 5-for-5 and drove in three runs to lead a 21-hit attack in St. Edward's 19-0 victory over Panhandle State Saturday afternoon at Lucian-Hamilton Field. The win completed the three-game sweep of the Aggies and put the Hilltoppers two games ahead of UT-Permian Basin for second place with three games to play in the regular season.
St. Edward's (22-22, 16-11 HC) scored early and often, putting up runs in every inning. Through three innings, the Hilltoppers already had a 7-0 lead. Hilltoppers starting pitcher Jeff Rohrbach (Junior, Houston, Texas) only needed one of those runs as he went the distance, allowing just four hits and striking out five batters in 7.0 innings of work.
