How it happened
-The Hilltoppers had a chance to take the lead against Texas Woman's in the second inning, but left a runner in scoring position.
-The Pioneers got on the board first with a big third inning. They scored two run on two hits.
-St. Edward's responded during the top of the fourth inning. LAUREN BRODE scored the lone run of the inning.
-Texas Woman's saw its lead grow to 3-1 at the bottom of the sixth inning. The Pioneers were able to get four hits off the Hilltoppers, but the St. Edward's defense stiffened, minimizing the damage.
-The Hilltoppers tied the game in the top of the seventh inning. ALLY VALDEZ and Kaci Olsen scored via a BRIANNA BOZON single to right field.
-Texas Woman's won the game in walk-off fashion with a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning.

How it happened
-Both teams opened up the game with hits during the first inning and they both couldn't convert, leaving two stranded.
-MARISSA THOME scored the only run of the game in the third inning. Thome got on base with a single to left field. After she stole second, LAUREN BRODE drove Thome in on a single to right field.
-KATELYN KLUG and the stingy Hilltopper defense kept Abilene Christian at bay only allowing three hits the rest of the way.
-St. Edward's had multiple chances to add to its lead, but they couldn't convert by leaving three Hilltoppers left on base.
 
Beyond the Box Score
-MARISSA THOME is now alone in second with 16 runs on the season after the run she scored against Abilene Christian.
-Thome now has recorded a hit in seven consecutive games.
-KATELYN KLUG picked up her second win of the season and did so in shutout fashion. She struck out four batters along the way.
