How It Happened
-St. Edward's wasted no time getting on the board with two runs in the first inning. RANSOM LALONDE singled home TAYLOR JOHNSON and CUTTER RUNTE scored on a wild pitch.
-The Hilltoppers poured it on in the second inning when Runte drew a bases-loaded walk to score a run. LaLonde drove in a run on a sacrifice fly and CJ MANNING capped off the inning with a two-RBI single.
-Manning scored a run in the fourth inning after doubling with one out and scoring on a single by NATE BOBROWSKI.
-St. Edward's added its final run in the eighth inning when Johnson singled home a run.
-Ellerbee was outstanding, allowing just two hits in eight shutout innings.
