How it Happened
-St. Edward's struck first in the first inning. Leadoff batter Marisa Thome singled to third base. Thome advanced to second off an error by the third baseman and advanced to third on a wild pitch. LAUREN BRODE brought Thome home off a bunt to first base.
-SARAH DEBROW had a perfect game going until the third inning when she allowed her only walk of the game. The walk came against Salina Mitchell.
-The Hilltoppers added another run in the third inning. Brode singled to right field. She was brought home off ALLY VALDEZ' double to right center.
-In the fifth inning, CYDNEY ERVIN was left on third base after Brode lined out to left field.
-St. Edward's added two more runs in the sixth inning. Valdez singled to center field. Valdez was brought home off a double to left field by TORI GONZALEZ. BRIANNA BOZON's single to center field brought Gonzalez home to make it 4-0.
 
Beyond the Box Score
-This was Debrow's first no hitter of her career. Debrow's performance included nine strikeouts and she improves to 15-7 on the season. She has won seven starts in a row in which she has a 0.73 earned-run average and has struck out 61 batters in 48.0 innings of work.
