AUSTIN, Texas – The 46
th-ranked St. Edward's women's tennis team found itself in a 2-1 hole after doubles, but rallied in singles play for a 6-3 victory over #23 Trinity Saturday afternoon at the Strohmeyer Varsity Courts.
St. Edward's (2-4) dropped matches at the numbers two and three doubles position before taking a win at the number one position. Brook Hughes and
SASHA KHADZHYAN teamed up to win the only doubles point with an 8-2 victory.
In singles play, the Hilltoppers dominated, winning in straight sets in four matches. Hughes won her match in a grueling three set affair.
St. Edward's will be back in action Sunday when they travel to take on UT-San Antonio. First-serve is set for 1 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center.
