Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – RANSOM LALONDE's home run in the first inning got the St. Edward's offense started and the #13 Hilltoppers hung on for a 4-3 win over Houston-Victoria Thursday afternoon at Lucian-Hamilton Field.
With two outs in the first inning, LaLonde ripped a ball over the fence in left field to give St. Edward's (12-6) a quick 1-0 lead.
In the second inning, the Hilltoppers got a leadoff single from
JOHN ALEXANDER. After UH-Victoria (9-13) misplayed a bunt by

Hilltopper starting pitcher
DALTON BROWN (2-0) would settle down after that and eventually pick up the win. He allowed two runs on seven hits, while walking one and striking out five in 6.0 innings of work.
The Hilltoppers would add an insurance run in the seventh inning when Alexander singled home
DYLAN WATTS to make it 4-2.
UH-Victoria scored a run in the ninth inning to make it interesting, but Hilltopper closer
