LAWTON, Okla. – St. Edward's men's tennis fell 5-2 Saturday to Cameron after moving the match to Oklahoma City due to rain.
CHARLIE SHIN and
MATEUS DALLAVECHIA DE COL claimed a point in doubles. De Col also won his singles match to go 2-0 on the day.
St. Edward's (12-10) is currently ranked fifth in the region. Cameron (10-9) is 2-3 in its last five matches.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cameron struck first with an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
- St. Edward's tied the match as de Col and Shin won on line two, 8-3.
- The Aggies claimed a 2-1 lead after winning No. 1 doubles, 9-7.
- After a rain delay forced the match to be moved indoors, Cameron went 3-1 in singles to clinch the match.
HILLTOPPER NOTES
- St. Edward's and Cameron are 11-11 in the all-time series.
- The Hilltoppers have faced 13 nationally ranked opponents across all divisions this spring.
- Shin is tied for the team lead with 11 wins in singles this spring.
