The Hilltoppers fell in game one 13-3, but was able to salvage the day with a 10-8 win in game two, ending the Rattlers five game winning streak and handing them just their second loss at home this year.

The Rattlers (25-11, 9-5) got on the board with an RBI single to left field off of Jacob Aguilar's bat, but SEU kept clicking offensively as they scored five more unanswered runs over the next three innings. STMU began to rally in the eighth however, scoring seven runs in the frame – three of them being RBI walks – to cut the deficit to two runs at 10-8. JAKE DAVIS would finish strong on the mound though to record his third save of the year in 1.2 innings of work with two strikeouts. Holub (3-3) was credited the win after throwing five full innings with two punch-outs. CHRIS LOGAN threw 2.1 innings for two strikeouts and JOSIAH CHUPIK also saw some time out of the bullpen.

The Hilltoppers were forced to turn to the bullpen early in game one after giving up five runs thru two innings. The Rattlers continued to pour it on however, scoring five more runs in the third to build a 10-0 advantage. Alexander put SEU on the scoreboard with a two RBI single to right field and Holub knocked one to the opposite side of the field to drive in another in the fifth frame. That was all the visiting team could muster up though as STMU scored three more runs to win it 13-3. JUAN CORTINA (2-6) was charged with the loss after two innings with two strikeouts.
