Box Score 2 SAN ANTONIO – St. Edward's was swept in a non-conference doubleheader at St. Mary's on Friday. The Hilltoppers dropped the first game by an 8-2 score and then suffered a 5-2 setback in the nightcap.
St. Edward's (11-12) committed six errors combined in the twin bill that led to six unearned runs.
BLAKE HOLUB led the offensive lineup in the opener with a 3 for 4 performance that include an RBI.
JAYSON FLORES was the lone Hilltopper to collect multiple hits in the second game, as he was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
MORGAN ALLEN was 1 for 3 with a solo home run in the first game of the series.
The two teams will close out the series on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
