Box Score SAN ANTONIO – St. Mary's completed a three-game, non-conference sweep of St. Edward's following a 7-5 win on Saturday afternoon at Dickson Stadium.
The Rattlers (17-8) jumped out to a 5-1 lead through the first two frames and added two more in the fifth before holding off a late push by the Hilltoppers (11-13) to close out the contest.
St. Edward's managed solo marks in the second, fourth and sixth innings and scored twice in the ninth.
ROBBIE LAMMONS led a trio of Hilltoppers with two hits on the day. Lammons was 2 for 5 with a triple and two RBIs.
JACOB VASQUEZ has one hit, a double, which was his seventh of the campaign.
TYLER INGRAM worked two innings in relief that ended with five strikeouts and only one hit allowed.
St. Edward's will return home to host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Tuesday, March 19. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Lucian-Hamilton Field in Austin.
