SAN ANGELO, Texas – St. Edward's men's track & field opened and closed the day with school record-breaking performances in the relay races to bookend the final day of the Lone Star Conference Championships.
ANGEL QUINTERO, DRE MOORE, TYRIQ WILSON, and JORDON CHAPPELL kicked off the final day with a sixth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay, earning three points and setting a new program record with a time of 41.96.
SEBASTIAN KORAN kept the momentum going with a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter finals. Koran set a new personal record with a time of 1:52.86 to add three more points for St. Edward's.
OMAR GUZMAN earned a 10th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:22.04. His brother, IVAN GUZMAN, clocked a 15:30.86 to place 13th.
The men's team closed the day as they opened it, getting school record-breaking performances from MARCUS AGUINALDO, CLAUDIO TREVINO, Chappell, and Wilson in the 4x100 relay to place sixth, scoring three points at 3:17.10.
