Four St. Edward's Baseball Players Earn LSC Awards

The Lone Star Conference announced its 2024 Baseball All-Conference team, selecting pitchers JACK GRANACK and JAKUB RAYFIELD and outfielder DAVIS DREWEK to its All-LSC Second Team and third baseman TREVOR SEBEK to its All-LSC Third Team. 
 
Granack also earned LSC All-Defensive Team honors, and the conference named Sebek to its All-Academic Team, which celebrates a combination of academic and athletic excellence. 
 
Drewek earns his second All-LSC Second Team selection after leading St. Edward's in batting average (.331), runs (51), hits (54), home runs (14), RBIs (51), walks (48), and total bases (114). The senior centerfielder became the program's all-time career leader in home runs (43). 
 
Granack became the program's all-time career leader in starts on the mound with 59. He led the Hilltoppers with 66 strikeouts in 72.2 innings pitch and an ERA of 5.45 for a 5-4 record in 14 appearances. He was also one of three Lone Star Conference players to post a perfect fielding percentage. He was the named the LSC Pitcher of the Week after shutting down Angelo State in a Hilltopper win. 
 
Rayfield was a two-time LSC Pitcher of the Week and went 7-3 in 13 starts in his first season at the Hilltop, leading the LSC with six complete games. He struck out 54 hitters to only 27 walks and had a 4.83 ERA in 76.1 innings pitched. 
 
Sebek was second on the team with a .305 batting average and hit a team-high 20 doubles with three home runs and two triples. The sophomore third baseman drove in 28 RBIs and scored 49 runs with 87 total bases.
