Hilltoppers Head to Lubbock for LSC Women’s Soccer Championship First Round

AUSTIN, Texas — The Lone Star Conference released its 2025 LSC Women's Soccer Championship field, with the St. Edward's Hilltoppers claiming the eighth seed and a first-round playoff game on the road against seventh-seed Lubbock Christian on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
 
St. Edward's closed the season winning five of its final eight conference games to punch its postseason ticket, finishing 6-6-2 in conference play and 7-9-2 overall, and ending the season with a 2-0 win over Sul Ross State
 
The Hilltoppers hosted Lubbock Christian on October 25, defeating the Lady Chaparrals 2-1 behind two goals from MARIE HANNEDOUCHE and eight saves from DARIA SCHLUMBOHM. St. Edward's owns a 6-1-1 record in Lubbock. 
 
Friday night's winner will advance to face the second-seeded Midwestern State on the opposite side of the No. 1-ranked team in the country, DBU. Midwestern State will host that quarterfinal game on Monday at 7:00 p.m. Texas Woman's University and St. Mary's are also on the Hilltoppers' side of the bracket. 
 
The LSC Semifinals are scheduled for Thursday, November 13, and the Championship will take place on Sunday, November 16, both hosted in Dallas.

The winner of the event will be named the LSC Women's Soccer Tournament champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship. The selection show is Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. After the first round (Nov. 21), second round (Nov. 23), third round (Nov. 30) and quarterfinals (Dec. 6) at sites to be determined, the national semifinals (Dec. 11) and final (Dec. 13) are scheduled be at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colo.
