Then, they face defending LSC Champion DBU on Saturday. The Patriots have opened the season with five consecutive wins after posting a 2-2 record in the NCAA Tournament last season.

The Hilltoppers close the weekend against NAIA's Hope International University (California).

Indoor Track & Field

ARLO GONZALES and Ben Bayly own the eighth and ninth-best time in the 5K.

Hilltopper pitchers KOBE JARAMILLO and GEORGE HETTRICK anchor a stellar pitching rotation. Jaramillo has the fourth most strikeouts in the nation and is fourth and fifth in strikeouts-per-nine innings in the LSC.

Texas Permian Basin has been swept by Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville and split its series against Texas A&M International.

Three of the four hitters at the top of St. Edward's lineup are hitting .350 or better, not including right fielder DYLAN TATE, who leads the team at .421. St. Edward's also manufactures runs, ranking in the top five of the LSC in stolen bases and sacrifice bunts.
