The American Baseball Coaches Association released its first NCAA Division II in-season poll, ranking St. Edward's Baseball no. 15 nationally, moving up from no. 23.
St. Edward's is 14-3 with a 13-3 conference record, sweeping back-to-back four-game series against Texas Permian Basin and Cameron. The Hilltoppers are on a 10-game winning streak. The Hilltoppers are second in the nation in walks, fifth in complete games, first in shutouts, and 16th in WHIP.
The Hilltoppers have five hitters batting over .300, with
CONNOR COX (.424) and
DYLAN TATE (.400) hitting better than .400.
St. Edward's hosts no. 5 Texas-Tyler in a four-game series this weekend. The first game is Friday at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader at noon, concluding with a 1:00 p.m. Sunday game.
