AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's baseball returns to the NCAA South Central Regional, earning the fourth seed in the South Central Region. The Hilltoppers will travel to San Angelo, Texas, to compete in a group against host Angelo State and Lubbock Christian.
St. Edward's will open the double elimination bracket against Lubbock Christian on May 15 at 2:00 p.m. Angelo State will play whoever loses that game the same day. The games will be played at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
"We are excited for the opportunity to head back to San Angelo and compete for a regional championship," St. Edward's Head Baseball Coach Ryan Femath says. "We are playing good baseball and hope to continue that this weekend."
The Hilltoppers entered the Lone Star Conference Championships ranked sixth in the region and moved up with a run to the Championship game, where they fell to Angelo State. St. Edward's is 36-21 and owns a 4-1 season record over Lubbock Christian, including a 1-0 win over the Chaparrals in the LSC Semifinals.
