ABCA Ranks St. Edward's No. 26 Nationally, NCBWA Ranks Hilltoppers Fourth Regionally

NCBWA Selects Connor Cox to its Preseason All-Region Team

AUSTIN, Texas — The American Baseball Coaches Association released its annual preseason NCAA Division II coaches' poll, listing St. Edward's as the No. 26-ranked team in the nation. 
 
St. Edward's posted a 37-23 record last season, including 31-17 in Lone Star Conference play, advanced to the LSC Championship game, earned an NCAA Regional bid, and finished ranked No. 28 in the final 2025 ABCA Poll. 
 
The Lone Star Conference and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association rank the Hilltoppers fourth in their preseason conference and South Central Region polls. The NCBWA named CONNOR COX to its Preseason All-Region Team. 
 
St. Edward's senior first baseman earned All-America First Team, All-Region, and All-LSC First Team honors last season after hitting .419 with 75 RBI, 12 home runs, 22 doubles, and 63 runs scored.
