AUSTIN, Texas — The National Association of Basketball Coaches released its weekly NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll, moving St. Edward's up from No. 25 to 22.
St. Edward's had two games rescheduled since the previous rankings due to the recent storm, but the Hilltoppers did defeat Cameron 74-62 in Oklahoma last Thursday.
Senior point forward BLAKE NIELSEN leads the Hilltoppers at 18.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game on 46.4/34.5/77.2 percent shooting splits. RYDER BRADLEY (13.3 points, 3.8 assists) and JAMISON KAY (11.5 points, 6.2 rebounds) also average double figures.
The Hilltoppers lead the Lone Star Conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.53), field-goal percentage defense (39.2 percent), defensive rebounds (27.5 per game), and 3-point percentage defense (28.7 percent).
St. Edward's hosts UT Dallas on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 p.m.
