AUSTIN, Texas — The Lone Star Conference announced its weekly awards, naming St. Edward's CONNOR FREEMAN its LSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for Week 12 after a dominant showing against Texas A&M-Kingsville. 
 
The left-handed junior threw a nine-inning, six-hit shutout with no walks in a 6-0 win over the Javelinas. Freeman struck out three hitters and needed only 123 pitches to navigate through 34 batters, inducing 13 flyouts and eight groundouts. He opened and closed the game with a strikeout, improving to 7-1 with a 3.18 ERA in his fifth consecutive victory. 
 
St. Edward's is 28-17 and is currently the fourth seed in the LSC Tournament, sitting half a game up on Lubbock Christian with four games remaining. The Hilltoppers travel to play UT Dallas this weekend.
