AUSTIN, Texas — The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced its 2026 All-South Central Region Team, naming St. Edward's first baseman CONNOR COX and starting pitcher CONNOR FREEMAN to the All-South Central Region First Team.

Cox hit .398 with 13 home runs, ranking third and first in the LSC. He's also second in on-base percentage at .543, fifth in walks (40), and fourth in RBI (59). He also leads the LSC in slugging percentage at .723. Cox set multiple St. Edward's career records this season, including RBI and hits.

Freeman posted an 8-2 record in his first season on the Hilltop, winning two LSC Player of the Week awards with two complete-game victories, including a nine-inning shutout. His. 3.33 ERA ranked third in the conference with a .249 batting average against. 

Both players earned All-LSC First Team honors and are eligible for NCBWA All-American consideration.
