Junior (2012): Saw action in 52 games while starting 50 for the Hilltoppers…had a batting average of .287…recorded 51 hits with 12 doubles…led the team with 10 homeruns on the season…recorded 40 RBI’s which was second on the team…finished the season with a .522 slugging percentage…his best game came against West Texas A&M (03/06/12) when he hit three homeruns and brought in six runs.
 
Sophomore (Temple JC) (2011): Appeared in 45 games, compiling a .368 batting average, pounding out 49 hits, 16 doubles, five home runs and 36 RBI in 133 at-bats…team went 36-19 while team advanced to the regional tournament.
 
Freshman (Temple JC) (2010): In 30 games of action, had a .229 batting average with 13 runs scored, two home runs and nine RBI in 70 at-bats…team finished 40-24 while advancing to the NJCAA JUCO World Series…team finished second in conference and won the regional championship.
 
Prep: Played four seasons at Manor High School…set career records in batting average (.489), homeruns (28) and RBI’s (153)…after his senior season he was selected in the 19^th round of the MLB draft by the L.A. Angles…named to the all-district first-team all four years in high school…his senior season he was named to the all-state first-team playing catcher…earned a spot on the Rawlings All-Region team…played in the Texas Scouts Association game at Minute Maid Park…member of the National Honor Society, and was his class vice-president.

Personal: Marshall Adam Burford was born on Nov. 4, 1989…son of Wes and Jan Burford of Austin, Texas…has one sibling: Taylor (25)…currently studying finance with career hopes of owning his own business…enjoys the outdoors by hunting, fishing, and playing golf…his biggest athletic thrill is making it to the JUCO World Series.
