Junior (2012): Made two starts and appeared in 12 games during his third season…finished with an overall record of 2-1 and an earned-run average of 3.18…pitched 11.1 innings giving up 18 hits and striking out seven batters…his lone win of the season came against UT-Permian Basin (04/14/12) when pitched 4.1 innings and struck out four batters.
 
Sophomore (2011): In his second season he made 12 appearances as pitcher…had an ERA of 11.32…pitched a total of 10.1 innings while giving up 16 hits and notching six strikeouts.
 
Freshman (2010): Made 14 appearances as a pitcher in his first season as a Hilltopper…had a 3.60 ERA on the season…pitched a total of 10.0 innings while giving up 12 hits and 13 strikeouts…best outing came against nationally-ranked St. Mary’s where he struck out four batters in 3.0 innings of scoreless ball.
 
Prep: Played four years of baseball at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas…in 2009 he helped his team to their first playoff win in school history…that same season he was awarded the teammate of the year award…also lettered in basketball.
 
Personal: Max Michael McDonald was born on March 10, 1991…son of Rick and Annette McDonald of Pflugerville, Texas…has one sibling: Mackenzie (3)…currently studying finance and hopes to pursue a career in the sports industry…enjoys playing Madden Football, basketball, and eating…his biggest athletic thrill was advancing to the 2012 NCAA Regionals.
