·      Heartland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2012-13)
 
Sophomore (2013): Started 20 games and appeared in 33 in her second season at St. Edward’s…totaled 17 hits in 61 at-bats for a batting average of .279, while scoring eight runs…hit two home runs and brought in six runs…one of four players who tallied a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000…connected on two hits and brought in two runs against conference foe Newman (04/05/13).
 
Freshman (2012): Appeared in 37 games for the Hilltoppers while starting 15…recorded her best game against the A&M International (3/16) bringing in 3-runs on a double and triple…had a string of at least one hit in six if seven games during the middle of the season.
 
Prep: Played two years softball at Leander High School…earned a spot on the all-district first-team during her junior and senior seasons…in her senior season she earned the Leander High School Most Valuable Player Award…helped lead Leander to first playoff appearance in six years her freshman season…also played two years at Falfurrias High School…named first-team all-district and newcomer of the year her freshman year…earned second-team all-district shortstop her sophomore year…member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes…named to the honor roll all four years in high school.
 
Personal: Victoria “Tori” Gonzalez was born on July 13, 1993…daughter of Eden and Catherine Garcia of Leander, Texas…has three siblings: Matthew (19), Michael (15), and Marx (13)…her grandfather attended St. Edwards when it was a high school…education major who plans to coach softball in the future…enjoys to sing and dance in her spare time…her biggest athletic thrill is winning the conference tournament against rival St. Mary’s.
