Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – WES KOENIG is having some kind of season. The senior lefty drove in five runs as #10 St. Edward's run-ruled Fisher College, 12-1, Tuesday afternoon at Lucian-Hamilton Field. The victory was the sixth straight for the Hilltoppers. After starting the season 2-4, St. Edward's has won 13 of its last 15 games.
Koenig, who leads the team in batting average (.413), runs scored (21), hits (31), doubles (6), home runs (3), and RBI (21), got St. Edward's (15-6) on the board first in the third inning with a RBI groundout.
MILES WRIGHT also had an RBI in third inning as the Hilltoppers expanded their lead to 2-0.

Fisher College (5-6) got a run back in the fifth inning, but the Hilltopper offense was just getting warmed up. They started by scoring five runs in the sixth inning. Mayo and Koenig both picked up another RBI, while the Hilltoppers also received RBIs from Wright and Gabel Whitacre.
After the Hilltoppers executed a double steal in the bottom of the seventh inning that led to a run, Koenig ended the game with three-run homer off the net in right field.
On the day, Koenig 1-for-3 with a season-high five RBI. Hermanson and Mayo both collected three hits for the game.
KYLE SEITHEL (1-0) picked up the victory in relief, allowing just one run while scattering seven hits in four innings of work.
St. Edward's will be back in action Wednesday when they host Houston-Victoria. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. at Lucian-Hamilton Field. Live video and stats will be available on the Hilltopper Athletic Website. The Hilltoppers have defeated the Jaguars twice already this season.
