Junior (2016): Appeared in 21 games, making four starts…produced a .281 batting average…scored six runs and tallied nine hits…six of his nine hits were doubles…was 2-for-5 with two doubles in a win at Oklahoma Christian (3/14).

Sophomore (2015): Appeared in 32 games with 18 starts around the outfield…batted .250 with 12 runs on 14 hits, and five RBI…collected two doubles and swatted one homerun…went 2-for-3 against Drury (2/21) with three RBI, and 2-for-4 at Lubbock Christian (3/27) with two runs scored.

Freshman (2014): Started in 42 games in his 47 appearances his freshman year…registered 27 runs and 37 hits in 135 at-bats…recorded 35 RBI, while finishing the season with a .274 batting average.

Prep: The multi-sport athlete lettered three years on the baseball team and one year on the basketball team at Katy Taylor High School…recorded a batting average of .325 in 27 games and 83 at bats in his sophomore season…tallied 22 runs and 27 hits…named to the all-district second team…won the bi-district championship for district 19-5A in 2011…the following season he upped his batting average to .337 in 27 games…scored 28 runs on 28 hits and brought in 17 runs…again named to the all-district second-team and the team repeated its honor as bi-district champions in 2012…played 30 games and had 97 at bats in his final season…scored 28 runs and recorded five triples on the year…named varsity baseball captain in his senior season….awarded to the academic all-district team from 2010-13…a part of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Lead Team, Men’s Choir, and the Ministry Leadership Team…also participated in Best Buddies, PALS Mentor, Young Life, and was a member of the Second Baptist Church Ministry Leadership Team.
Personal: Miles Burdette Wright was born on Aug. 2, 1994…son of Keith and Cydney Wright of Houston, Texas…has two siblings: Max and MacKenzie…majoring in business finance…his hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, long boarding, reading, playing ultimate Frisbee, golfing, and watching sports…also enjoys being a part of the Second Baptist Church High School Ministry Lead Team and Young Life…his biggest athletic thrill was pitching a no-hitter in pouring rain at Cooperstown when he was 12…another athletic thrill was hitting three triples in a row as a senior to set a school record for most triples in a single game.
