th in total plate appearances…went 3-for-3 against UA Fort Smith (5/8) in the Heartland Conference Tournament with four runs and two RBI…posted a 3-for-6 performance against Newman (5/2) with two doubles, a pair of runs scored, and four RBI.

Freshman 2014: In his first year playing for the Hilltoppers, appeared in 45 games while starting 40…tallied 29 runs and 49 hits in 137 at-bats…recorded 16 RBI over the season, while collecting 283 putouts and 30 assists from the catcher position…finished the season with a .978 fielding percentage.

Prep: Played four years of baseball at Bowie High School of Austin, Texas…in his junior season, the local standout was named team defensive player of the year and second-team all-district…helped his team become co-district champions in 2013…named to the 2013 academic all-district team.
Personal: Gable Dever Whitacre was born on Dec. 12, 1994…son of Grant and Danielle Whitacre of Austin, Texas…has one sibling Gina (23)… majoring in business marketing…his hobbies include playing golf, ultimate Frisbee, and video games…his biggest athletic thrill was hitting a homerun against Anderson High.
