Game 1
How It Happened
-After McMurry opened the scoring in the bottom of the second with a single run, St. Edward's answered with a run of its own in third inning. WES KOENIG led off the inning with a solo home run to right field.
-The War Hawks would get single runs in the fifth and sixth innings sandwiched around a single run by the Hilltoppers in the top of the sixth.
-Down to its last at-bat in the top of the seventh, St. Edward's would get a bunt single from JOE PIROZZOLO to lead off the inning. After moving to second on a sacrifice, Pirozzolo would come around to score on a RBI-single from AJ HERMANSON. BEAU ROGERS would lace a triple to right field to give St. Edward's the lead.
 
Beyond the Box Score
-AJ RATAIC picked up his third save of the season. He gave up his first hit of the season on Friday, but has yet to give up a run.
 
Game 2
How It Happened
-St. Edward's struck first in game two, scoring single runs in the second and fifth innings. Pirozzolo had the RBI in the second inning, while Hermanson led off the fifth inning with a triple. Rogers would drive him in with a sacrifice fly.
-McMurry would close the gap in the seventh inning with a single run but the Hilltoppers were equal to the task, scoring a run of their own in the top of the ninth.
-BRANNON EASTERLING was fantastic on the mound for St Edward's, as he went the distance, allowing one run on nine hits, while walking one and striking out three batters in nine innings of work.
 
Beyond the Box Score
-After suffering a loss in his first career start for St. Edward's, Easterling has been fantastic his final two starts, allowing just one earned run in 16.2 innings of action.
