How It Happened
-St. Edward's got on the board first with a run in the first inning.
TAYLOR JOHNSON led off with a double to the gap in right center. This was his third time in the last four games to lead off the first with a hit.
CUTTER RUNTE followed with a single up the middle to score Johnson.
-Incarnate Word tied the game up in the second inning when the Cardinals would push across an unearned run.
-The Hilltoppers responded with single runs in the third and fourth innings. In the third inning, Johnson took advantage of Cardinal starting pitcher Geno Encina's long windup to steal home for his second run of the game. In the fourth inning

MARSHALL BURFORD followed with a triple down the left field line to make it 3-0.
