Redshirt Junior (2013): The redshirt junior appeared in 17 games and started eight for the Hilltoppers…finished the season with a 3.86 ERA and 32 strikeouts on 53.2 innings pitched…tallied six strikeouts against Heartland Conference newcomer Oklahoma Christian (03/28/13)…had five more strikeouts in seven innings of work against Incarnate Word (04/23/13), helping the Hilltoppers to a 12-2 victory.
 
Junior (2012): Redshirted the season due to injury.
 
Sophomore (Crowder JC) (2011): Appeared in seven games on the mound, registering a 3.60 earned-run average, while striking out 31 batters in 30.0 innings of work…team finished 42-18 and were the regional runner-ups…won the James Payne Academic Achievement Award. 
 
Freshman (Crowder JC) (2010): Appeared in 15 games on the mound for 20 innings of work…had an 0-2 record and a 9.45 earned-run average…team went 42-25, won a regional and district championship and advanced to the NJCAA JUCO World Series, where they finished fifth…was named to the regional all-academic team.
 
Prep: Attended Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Mo.…his senior season he was the team’s most valuable player and team captain…he also earned all-area honors as a utility player…he received the 2009 Jimmy Meyers American Legion Baseball Scholarship.
 
Personal: Kyle Steven Seithel was born on Sept. 4, 1990…son of Dennis and Janet Seithel of Fort Worth, Texas…has one sibling: Megan (25)…plans to study business at St. Edward’s…his biggest athletic thrill was going to the Junior College World Series.
