Sophomore (2012): Played in 49 games while starting 48 during his second season…had a .320 batting average on the year and was third overall on the team with 55 hits…was also tied for third with six homeruns on the year…he added 13 doubles and 46 RBI’s…recorded a .500 slugging percentage which was fourth best on the squad…recorded two home runs and brought in three runs against UT-Permian Basin (02/24/12).
 
Redshirt Freshman (2011): Saw action in 26 games while starting 22 for the Hilltoppers…finished the season with a .271 batting average…recorded 19 hits, three doubles and two triples…brought in 15 runs and had a slugging percentage of .371…his best game came against UT Permian Basin (02/25/11) when he scored a run, had two hits, and brought in four runs…both of his hits were triples.
 
Freshman (Hill JC) (2010): Played baseball at Hill College under head coach Chris Ratieke.
 
Prep: Played four years of high school baseball at Anderson High School…registered a .400 batting average his senior season.
 
Personal: Wesley Byron Koenig was born on April 26, 1991…son of Ron and Debbie Koenig of Austin, Texas…has two siblings: Kevin (29) and Lindsey (26)…currently studying business management with career goals of entering business of contracting…enjoys skiing and playing FIFA Soccer.
