Junior (Oklahoma State) (2012): Appeared in three games, gaining four at-bats before redshirting the season for the Cowboys.
 
Sophomore (Panola (Texas) JC) (2011): Appeared in 53 games, while pounding out a .318 average with a team-high 42 runs scored and 20 RBI in 176 at-bats…also led the team with 13 doubles…was selected to 2011 Texas-New Mexico Junior College All-Star Game and was named first-team all-conference…his team finished with a 28-25 record and reached the regional tournament.
 
Freshman (Panola (Texas) JC) (2010): Appeared in 51 games for the Ponies, tallying a .294 bating average with 34 runs scored, while driving in 28 runs in 180 at-bats…was named first-team all-conference.
 
Prep: Lettered three years at The Woodlands College Park High School…his junior season he had a batting average of .448, a .517 slugging percentage, and a .429 on base percentage, while being named first-team all-district as a designated hitter…his senior year his batting average was .402 and his on base percentage was .527…had a .647 slugging percentage and was named to the all-district first-team as a utility player…earned a spot on the all-Houston first-team playing the shortstop position his senior season…member of FFA, Young Life and Interact.
 
Personal: John Preston Alexander was born on Nov. 5, 1990…son of Steve and Cindy Alexander of The Woodlands, Texas…has two siblings: David (26) and Amy (24)…plans to study business management at St. Edward’s with career hopes of becoming a successful businessman…his biggest athletic thrill was playing on his high school baseball and winning the school’s first district championship.
