Tallied 17 strikeouts to just nine walks while holding opponents to just a .190 batting average...Earned his win against UTSA (April 1)...Tallied four strikeouts in a conference game against UALR (May 11)...Had multiple strikeouts in six games.

Redshirt Freshman 2013: Appeared in 14 games, starting one...Pitched 17.0 innings with 11 strikeouts...Allowed opponents a .309 batting average...Finished with a 5.82 ERA...Pitched a season-high 3.0 innings vs. CSU Bakersfield (4/26), finishing with one hit allowed, one strikeout and no runs...Tallied two strikeouts three times.

High School: Attended Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, Texas where he played for head coach Glenn Bacak…named all-district first team as a pitcher…earned academic all-district honors and was an AISD Trustee Scholar…graduated in the top 10 percent of his class.
