St. Edward's University Athletics

Freshman (2011-12): Saw action in 20 games for the Hilltoppers during his first season…averaged 1.5 points per contest as well as 1.1 rebounds…put forth his best effort of the season against Panhandle State (1/19/12) as he went 3-of-4 from the field for eight points.
 
Prep: A multi-sport athlete who went to Sonora High School…lettered four years under Mike Murphy on the basketball team…averaged 22.0 points per game his senior year while earning the Most Valuable Player award as well as the best offensive player…was named to the all-league team for two years…helped his team reach the 2008-09 state semifinals…appeared on the Principal’s Honor Roll every year in high school.

Personal: Connor Kjer was born on July 13, 1992…son of Kevin and Melinda Kjer of La Habra, Calif…has two siblings: Carson (18) and Abby (15)…plans to study kinesiology at St. Edward’s with career hopes of becoming a physical therapist…enjoys wakeboarding in his spare time…his biggest athletic thrill is making a game-winning shot.
