Prep: Played basketball and ran track at Cypress Christian High School in Houston, Texas…led the team in scoring his junior season with 18.6 points per game…ranked ninth in TAPPS-3A scoring for that year…once again, led the team in scoring with 19.5 points per game his senior season…ranked eighth for the season in TAPPS-3A scoring for the season…earned first-team all-district honors his junior and senior seasons…in his junior season, he was voted second-team all-state for TAPPS-3A…was an all-tournament player for the Cypress Christian Tournament and Lake Country Tournament during his senior year…was named academic all-state for basketball in 2011-12 and academic all-state for track in 2010-11…was a member of the Key Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Personal: Evan Matthew Doremus was born on Dec. 21, 1993…son of Mark and Jennifer Doremus of Houston, Texas…has one sibling: Ashlyn (16)…currently earning his degree in business administration with a concentration in finance…hopes to one day work on Wall Street…enjoys spending time with friends and golfing…his biggest athletic thrill is making the game-tying layup to take the game to overtime…he also scored 37 points during that same game.
