Vogt graduated from SEU in 1930, and lettered all four years playing tackle in football. In 1972, Vogt won the Father Leopold Memorial Award, the Papal Award Pro Eccelesia et Pontifice Award in 1977, and the Outstanding Catholic Layman of Victoria Award from the Knights of Columbus (he is a Grand Knight). He was president and trust officer for Victoria National Bank in Victoria, Texas. He is deceased.
