St. Edward's Athletics Hall of Fame
Playing for only three years, Myron Gilmore is still among the top 10 all-time baseball players in nine offensive categories. He was drafted in the 1981 amateur draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. After college, Gilmore was a U.S. Air Force air traffic control watch supervisor and holds a master’s degree in aeronautical science. In 2001, he was awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Honors while at St. Edward’s University include three-time All-Conference, two-time team Most Valuable Player, two-time NAIA All-District, NAIA Regional Team and NAIA All-American.
