St. Edward's Athletics Hall of Fame
A four-year letterwinner for the Hilltoppers, Mayer compiled a career stroke average of 73.63 (which in 2016 was good enough for first in career scoring average). He was named all-America in 2007-08 and 2009-10, along with being named Academic all-America four times. Mayer was selected to the all-Heartland Conference all four years, Freshman of the Year in 2007-08, and Player of the Year in 2009-10. He won two tournaments and finished in the top-five on 13 different occassions. He helped the team to three Heartland Conference Championships, four NCAA Regional appearances, and a runner-up finish at the 2008 NCAA Championship. During his four years on the hilltop, Mayer compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA, was named to the Heartland Conference President’s Honor Roll (4), and SEU Dean’s List (8).
