St. Edward's University Athletics

Brother Lucian Blersch received his B.A. from St. Edward’s University in 1934 and his MA from the University of Notre Dame in 1942. He taught at St. Edward’s from 1927 to 1971, during which he was dean of engineering, dean of men and athletic director. Except for a year in 1972, Brother Blersch spent his entire life after graduation from Notre Dame as a brother at St. Edward’s. His vision in athletics led to the building of the campus baseball field, which now bears his name.
