St. Edward's Athletics Hall of Fame
Neu attended SEU from 1948 to 1952. He lettered four times in both basketball and baseball. Neu was voted St. Edward’s Most Valuable Player in basketball 1949-1950 and 1951. Neu remembers attending the National Catholic Basketball Tournament in Denver in March 1949 and scoring 41 points and grabbing 22 rebounds in one game against Texas Lutheran. He lived in Indianapolis with his wife Gwyn as president and owner of J.B. Neu Sons, Inc., a wholesale furniture and design center. His hobbies included boating, fishing and softball. He passed away on March 14, 2002.
