St. Edward's University Athletics

Ed Fleming graduated from St. Edward’s University in 1936. As a player, he won letters in football and basketball. In 1937, was named assistant football and basketball coach and he served as athletic director from 1939 to1942. He left St. Edward’s University to enter active service in the Navy, where he saw combat in the Pacific Theatre and retired after 23 years. Fleming was a member of the Southwest Football Officials Association and the Southwest Basketball Officials Association.
