St. Edward's Athletics Hall of Fame
Derek Wildman was a four-year letterwinner at St. Edward’s in men’s tennis. Wildman helped the Hilltoppers to two Heart of Texas Conference championships, the NCAA Tournament all four years, and a Top-25 national ranking every year he was in the lineup. He was named to the all-conference team all four years of play, while being named Academic All-America twice. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Accounting degree and a Master of Business Administration. In 2000, the Lake Jackson, Texas, native, was named the SEU Male Senior Athlete of the Year. He finished with double-digit wins in singles action all four years and ended with a 46-29 singles record. Wildman was nationally ranked in singles and doubles play in each of his last two seasons on the Hilltop.
